1. Ratings & Endorsements

Instrument Rating (Single or Multi)
The Command Instrument Rating (single or multi) is a professional qualification which allows you to fly in IMC conditions.
This includes, NDB, VOR, ILS, RNAV and LLZ. Part of the training for a Command Instrument Rating is conducted in the simulator but most if it is in the aircraft.
You will need to hold at least a Private Pilot Licence or greater to undertake a CIR course.

In addition to the above flying hours, you must also pass the Instrument Rating Theory Exam (IREX).

PIFR

The PIFR Rating was introduced to offer pilots the opportunity to conduct limited IFR operations as an alternative to, or an escape from, those situations of deteriorating weather or daylight where scud running, disorientation, controlled flight into terrain and loss of control accidents have been all too frequent.
You can conduct this training in one of our aircraft or in your own personal aircraft.

NVFR

This rating allows you to fly at night; this is especially useful if you are running late or have encountered unplanned diversions.
This rating consists of a combination of night circuits and cross-country navigation exercises.
